ASA International Law

The Amsterdam Student Association of International Law (formerly Volkenrechtskring) is a student association for students who are studying or hold a special interest in international law.
ASA members receive regular updates through our monthly newsletter with information about upcoming events and opportunities advertised through the organisation.
We organise regular events including a monthly borrel, advice about careers in international law, lectures and trips where you can meet other students in a more social setting and learn from experts in your field of study. Our main objective is to provide students in Amsterdam with a forum to exchange views on international law and take advantage of the international law hub in the Netherlands. Our upcoming events are available on our events page, where you find out more and sign up to attend.
We also organise an annual trip to Geneva for students who want to see some of the institutions they study in action. This packed four-day trip has seen us pay visits to the Palais des Nations, The International Committee of Jurists and The World Trade Organisation, among many others. To find out more about this year’s trip and the application process, please visit our Geneva page which will be updated throughout the year.
